2 Sections, 4 Stairs ->over 12 hours of sketch up modelling

The stair is made into 2 sessions. Both the upper part and the lower part can be used.

The stairs are made to be like swings that children used to play in the park. However, the usual 'rope' part is made out of steel which makes the user think that the stair is unstable at first sight, and a strange feeling when stepped on the firmly placed stairs.

This is the second model I chose. The upper one is “CYCLE” from Ricky and the bottom is "MODIFY" from Picinini.

The upper stairs is rather large in the end so I resized it, and also did some in other shapes.
The material of the stairs is wood which is out of his usual usage of material in his works.

Self Studies-Modelling

This is the sketch I drew for the model.
The above was the noun CYCLE for Swallows, and the adjective WEIRD for Piccinini.

The First Work

This is one of my works I did during the Foundation year. Although the grades are not very high, this wearable is the best work I did in the year.

The wearable is to represent the emotion sorrow, where the white silky netting represents a fragile barrier one wants to build up when they are in desperate situations. However the two balancing 'weights' tries to pull down that flimsy protection, which is similar to the stress we face.

This is not a photo, but a snapshot from a game (I rather not to say the name of it). My inspiration to be an architect is not from a certain building or architect, but the game. I really like the way that I can build something out of nothing, and I've always dreamed that one day I can live in the house I build in the game. That's what pushes me to learn to be an architect.

I took this picture in Hong Kong and I like it very much. The glittering where the sea reflects the sunlight is so beautiful. I also like the horizon where the sea joins the sky. However it's getting more polluted in Hong Kong the the sky is turning gray. I hope I can be an architect that designs buildings which does less harm to the environment.

NOLON: PIONEER, EXPLORE, CONTRAST

SWALLOW: CYCLE, GROW, REALISTIC

PICCININI: BIRTH, MODIFY, WEIRD
